North Sydney is a suburb and commercial district on the Lower North Shore which has one of the largest concentrations of office buildings in NSW, with a large representation from the advertising and information technology industries.

North Sydney is located 3 km's north of the Sydney CBD and is serviced by State Transit Authority buses and North Sydney Railway Station.

The first public school which opened in 1874 as St Leonards was renamed North Sydney in 1910 North Sydney underwent a dramatic transformation into a commercial hub in 1971-72. In this period no less than 27 skyscrapers were built.
